Genistein-3′-sulfonic acid dihydrate
IN THE TITLE COMPOUND [SYSTEMATIC NAME: 5-(5,7-dihydr-oxy-4-oxo-4H-chromen-yl)-2-hydroxy-benzene-sulfonic acid dihydrate], C(15)H(10)O(8)S·2H(2)O, the benzopyran-one ring is not coplanar with the phenyl ring, the dihedral angle between them being 41.35 (3)°. No H atom was placed on the sulphonic acid group because it was not possible to distinguish between the two S=O bonds and the S-O bond. In...

Polymer-electrolyte-membrane fuel cells (PEM-FCs) are considered as the most promising fuel cell technique for applications like automobiles or stationary power supplies. State-of-the-art separator materials in PEM-FCs are commonly sulfonic acid functionalized polymers, like the perfluorinated polymer Nafion. These materials show the required high proton conductivity only at high degree of hydr...
متن کاملStudies on purified 3-hydroxyanthranilic acid oxidase.
3-Hydroxyanthranilic acid oxidase is known to cat, alyze the oxidation of 3-hydroxyanthranilic acid to a very unstable aliphatic compound, which may either be spontaneously transformed into quinolinic acid or undergo enzymic conversion to picolinic or nicotinic acid, or both (l-3). According to Mason (4), this enzyme has been classified as an “oxygen transferase,” since the oxygen consumed, 1 mo...
متن کاملTransformation of azulenes to bicyclic [4]dendralene and heptafulvene derivatives via photochemical cycloaddition of dialkylsilylene.
Regioselective cycloaddition of dialkylsilylene upon irradiation at 440 nm converts azulene and guaiazulene to bicyclic [4]dendralene and heptafulvene derivatives, respectively. Significant σ-π interactions in the resulting new silacycles were suggested using UV-vis spectra and theoretical calculations.

blood in the natural or the "chocolate" state with the addition of vancomycin (7.5 ,ug per ml of medium) and streptomycin (20 jAg per ml), was an excellent medium for the isolation of these organisms. As part of a project following the development of the oral flora in infants and children, plates of both types of blood agar containing the respective amounts of vancomycin and streptomycin have b...
